Poor Monty

What is it with my dogs and toe nails lately? A few months ago James snapped 2 off at various times and today Monty is gimping and come to learn it's because he's split a toe nail on a front foot as well. I think they are getting the nails caught in the back door but I can't for the life of me figure out exactly where so I can remedy the situation.

He is feeling very sorry for himself and wants mummy to take care of it. Which to me just goes to show how far our relationship has come in the past 15 months since I got him last July. Before he would have hid that he hurt and never let me touch his foot without a fight. This morning, he was holding it up and when I asked him what was wrong and if I could see, he came right over and let me look and I didn't get a nasty face until I touched the part the Really Hurt and even then he didn't snark me he just puckered up his face. It doesn't look that bad and I don't want to trim it back as it will bleed all over the place and then really hurt and he'll be really upset and it doesn't look like it needs that as I think it will grow out. He's walking on it and going up and down stairs and such, so it doesn't hurt that bad. So he's just going to have to take it easy for a bit and I'll keep an eye on it to be sure it doesn't get infected.

Nice to know we're at this point though and he feels ok with letting me do stuff to him that doesn't really feel so nice.
